Volleyball Recap: Midwest Central Starts Season with Loss at Home + How To Watch

Midwest Central unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 2-0 to the Heyworth Hornets on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Raiders in their meetings with the Hornets: they've now lost five in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-15.

Lyla Tate went supernova For Heyworth., getting 11 kills, seven aces, and four digs. Tate has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 15 times she's played. Sidney Ditchen was another key player, getting 12 assists and three aces.

Looking ahead, Midwest Central will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge Tremont at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Heyworth, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Monticello at 7:00 p.m.
