Soccer Recap: Kent-Meridian Comes Up Short

Kent-Meridian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 5-0 to the Kentlake Falcons. While losing is never fun, Kent-Meridian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 252nd, while Kentlake are ranked 95th).

Kent-Meridian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Kentlake, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-1-3 record this season.

Kent-Meridian will square off against Decatur at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Kentlake, they will challenge Enumclaw at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Kentlake will need to watch out since Enumclaw have now posted at least four goals in their last five matchups.
