Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Holdingford). Everything went their way against the Maple Lake Irish on Monday as they made off with a 14-4 win. The Huskers haven't had any issues with the Irish recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Masyn Patrick, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Brodi Huls, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs and three RBI.

Holdingford's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-3. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Maple Lake, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Holdingford will face off against Osakis at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Maple Lake, they will take on Central at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Irish are facing the Raiders at the right time seeing as the Raiders are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
