Soccer Recap: Ketchikan Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wasilla, Ketchikan was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Homer Mariners a 2-0 shutout. This was a revenge game for Ketchikan: when they faced off against Homer on Wednesday, they had to take a 2-1 loss.

Aspen Bauer and Callie Baker scored both of Ketchikan's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 15 goals.

Ketchikan now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Homer, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Coincidentally, Ketchikan and Homer will both be playing Soldotna the next time they take the pitch. The Mariners will host the Stars at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Kings will host them at 5:00 p.m. on May 9.
