Softball Recap: Lincoln Cardinals vs. Ida B. Wells Guardians

Lincoln was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ida B. Wells Guardians. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Lincoln of the 6-5 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April.

For Ida B. Wells' part, Samantha Stevens was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. Stevens was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 3-for-5.
