Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Shadyside). They took down the Bridgeport Bulldogs 65-50 on Friday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Tigers as it spelled an end to their nine-game losing streak.

When it comes to explaining why Bridgeport lost, don't look at Jaleel Vincent. Despite the final result, he went 8 for 19 en route to 23 points and six steals. That's the most steals Vincent has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaki Threet, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 boards.

Shadyside's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 2-13. As for Bridgeport, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

Shadyside didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 68-32 loss against Monroe Central on the 1st. As for Bridgeport, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 44-35 defeat against River on the 1st.
