Softball Recap: Devine Takes Down Lago Vista in a Playoff Battle

Devine extended their postseason success on Friday against Lago Vista. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Vikings, sneaking past 3-1. The win was familiar territory for the Warhorses, who have now won six games in a row.

Tucker Traylor spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up 11 Ks.

On the hitting side, Devine's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Natalie Valle, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Devine's win was their tenth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 26-5. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Lago Vista, their loss ended an 11-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-11.
