Freedom took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They blew past the Ocoee Knights 9-2. This was payback for the Patriots, who suffered an 11-3 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Rhys Rego spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on four hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Anthony Unruh, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Albert Abad was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Freedom will head out to square off against Cypress Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ocoee, they are taking a road trip to face off against East Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
