Recap: Armwood Hawks vs. Bloomingdale Bulls

The Armwood Hawks and the Bloomingdale Bulls squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but sadly the Armwood Hawks had to settle for second. They were dealt a 64-37 loss at the hands of the Bulls. While losing is never fun, Armwood can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 579th, while Bloomingdale is ranked 205th).

Several Hawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Malakai Francis, who scored nine points along with six rebounds. Talon Mckinnie was another key contributor, scoring seven points.

Caleb Zettel had a dynamite game for Bloomingdale, scoring 25 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Zettel has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kedrin Evans, who scored 16 points along with three steals.

Armwood's loss dropped their record down to 7-18. As for Bloomingdale, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 19-7.

Armwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Bloomingdale is on the road again on Thursday and plays Lennard at 7:00 p.m. on February 8th. Hopefully Bloomingdale focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Tuesday.
