Basketball Recap: Eureka's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Two

Eureka won the last time they faced Del Norte, and Will Mooney did his part to make sure it happened again. The Eureka Loggers were the clear victor by a 79-57 margin over the Del Norte Warriors on Thursday thanks in part to Mooney, who posted 18 points and five assists. That's the most assists he has posted since back in December of 2023.

The victory made it two in a row for Eureka and bumps their season record up to 16-7. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 25.5 points. As for Del Norte, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-11 record this season.

Eureka wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 61-57 defeat against University Prep on the 1st. As for Del Norte, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-55 win against Fortuna on the 6th.
