Mendon Unity hasn't had much luck against Camp Point Central recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. Mendon Unity will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Camp Point Central at 4:30 p.m.
Mendon Unity is coming home looking for redemption after taking a loss in their road opener. They came up short against Seymour on Tuesday, falling 17-3. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.
Savannah Zanger and Allyson Murphy stepped up to the plate in a big way. Zanger scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2, while Murphy scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Tegan Campbell, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Meanwhile, Camp Point Central made easy work of Augusta Southeastern on Monday and carried off a 12-1 win.
