Basketball Recap: Brookfield Comes Up Short

Brookfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 50-44 heartbreaker at the hands of the Gallatin Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, Brookfield can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 458th, while Gallatin is ranked 155th).

Brookfield's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Gallatin, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.

Brookfield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 72-69 victory against Trenton on the 13th. Gallatin has also already played their next contest (against Lawson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
