Softball Recap: Grimsley Comes Up Short

After flying high against Western Guilford on Friday, Grimsley came back down to earth. The Whirlies came up short against the Eastern Guilford Wildcats on Tuesday, falling 31-10. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-2 last Monday.

Grimsley's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Eastern Guilford, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Grimsley will challenge High Point Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Eastern Guilford, they will face off against Ragsdale at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 14.8 runs per game this season.
