Volleyball Recap: Rock Hill Takes a Loss

Rock Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Asheville Cougars.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-13.

Hadley Matthews paced Rock Hill's offense, picking up seven kills. Matthews got some help from Mattie Kline and her six assists.

Rock Hill's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Asheville, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-4.

Rock Hill and Asheville will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Bearcats see the court they'll take on York at 6:15 p.m. on the 26th. As for Asheville, their break will end when they face McDowell at 6:45 p.m. on the 28th.
