It's playoff time, and Judge Memorial Catholic had no trouble coming through when it counted. They enjoyed a cozy 53-36 victory over the Layton Christian Academy Eagles on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Bulldogs sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Judge Memorial Catholic got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Munah Doe out in front who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Elyah Ocampo, who posted eight points and five rebounds.

Judge Memorial Catholic smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in six consecutive games.

Layton Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Ruby Knight-Paris, who went 6-for-13 en route to 13 points and five boards. Penelope Arroyo was another key player, putting up nine points.

Judge Memorial Catholic's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-11. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 29.6 points. As for Layton Christian Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 13-11 record this season.

Judge Memorial Catholic will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Grantsville at 7:30 p.m. on February 24th. Grantsville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65.3 points per game this season. Layton Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
