Basketball Recap: Aspermont Comes Up Short

Aspermont lost against Hamlin back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Aspermont Hornets fell 57-50 to the Hamlin Pied Pipers. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hamlin's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ian Gruben, who posted 16 points. Another player making a difference was Luke White, who put up 13 points.

Aspermont's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Hamlin, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-7.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Paint Creek the next time they take the court. Aspermont will host Paint Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Hamlin will head out to face them at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
