Football Game Preview: Lakeland Dreadnaughts vs. Seminole Ridge Hawks

The Lakeland Dreadnaughts will face off against the Seminole Ridge Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Lakeland comes in on four and Seminole Ridge on five.

Lakeland is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They won a match that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Auburndale 7-6.

Meanwhile, Seminole Ridge strolled past South Fork with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 28-14. The final result isn't all the surprising considering the Hawks' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked first, while the Bulldogs are ranked 58th).

The match pitted two dominant signal callers against one another in Aubrey Fogel and Savannah Tatum. Fogel had a great game and threw for 307 yards and four TDs while completing 84% of her passes. Meanwhile, Tatum was balling out in the loss, rushing for 75 yards and a pair of scores on only eight carries, while also throwing for 118 yards while completing 80% of her passes.

Seminole Ridge didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Chachi Saunders and Lola Agosto. Agosto has been hot recently, having also posted two or more receiving touchdowns the last four times she's played.

Lakeland's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Seminole Ridge, their victory bumped their record up to 12-2.
