Basketball Recap: Rockwood Comes Up Short

Rockwood lost against Sunbright two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Rockwood Tigers were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 42-41 to the Sunbright Tigers. Rockwood has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Rockwood lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jayden Davidson, who went 6 of 13 en route to 16 points. Collin Abston was another key player, putting up eight points and six boards.

Sunbright's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Garrett Rogers, who posted ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Carson, who had nine points.

Rockwood's record now sits at 5-12. As for Sunbright, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Rockwood will head out on the road to face off against Midway at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Sunbright, they will host Wartburg Central at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
