Softball Recap: Nine Straight Home Victories for Linden

Linden won against Ripon last Tuesday with eight runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Linden Lions came out on top in a nail-biter against the Argonaut Mustangs, sneaking past 8-7. The win continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won four in a row.

Olivia Fears was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Audrey Pitt, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Linden was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Argonaut only posted a batting average of .192.

Linden's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Lions challenge the Wildcats at 3:30 p.m. on February 27th. As for Argonaut, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 6-3 win against Bret Harte on the 21st.
