Valley has gone a perfect 10-0 against Temple Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Cavaliers will be playing at home against the Bereans at 10:00 a.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

Valley's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Greenville with a sharp 15-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Cavaliers, who have now won five matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Temple Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 33-13 to Wiscasset.

Madelyn Grant led a balanced group of hitters, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Carmen Corey was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run.

The victory made it two in a row for Valley and bumps their season record up to 5-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.5 runs over those games. As for Temple Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.

Everything went Valley's way against Temple Academy in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Valley made off with a 22-0 victory. Will the Cavaliers repeat their success, or do the Bereans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
