Softball Recap: Hardin-Jefferson Comes Up Short

Hardin-Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Livingston Lions, falling 15-5. If the Hawks were looking for revenge after losing 17-0 to the Lions when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Kaylee Jund made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (three). Nora Mcintosh was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Hardin-Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Livingston, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-5.

Coincidentally, Hardin-Jefferson and Livingston will both be playing Shepherd the next time they take the field. Livingston will head out to face Shepherd at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Hardin-Jefferson will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
