Basketball Recap: Craig County Takes a Loss

Craig County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Narrows Green Waves, falling 69-40. The Rockets lost against the Green Waves in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 83-28 score last time.

Sam Mcglothlin continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Narrows, going 8 of 12 en route to 22 points in addition to seven boards and five assists. The dominant performance gave Mcglothlin a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Elijah Knoetze, who posted 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Craig County's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Narrows, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-4.

Craig County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 67-41 defeat against Parry McCluer on the 16th. Narrows has also already played their next matchup, a 71-36 victory against Giles on the 16th.
