Peotone has gone 9-1 against Wilmington recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Peotone Blue Devils will head out to take on the Wilmington Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Peotone got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They enjoyed a cozy 38-24 win over Streator on Tuesday. That looming 38-24 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Blue Devils yet this season.

Peotone can attribute much of their success to Peyton Bisping, who posted nine points along with five assists and five steals. The dominant performance gave Bisping a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Moe, who posted eight points and five steals.
Bisping wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Peotone was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Streator only posted five assists.
Meanwhile, Wilmington hadn't done well against Lisle recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way back in December of 2024. Wilmington snuck past Lisle with a 37-31 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.
Wilmington's win came from a few key players Peotone will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Sami Liaromatis, who earned 12 points along with five steals and three blocks. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Melia Hincherick, who put up 13 points and five boards.
Wilmington has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Peotone, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-14.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Peotone has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 24.6 boards per game. However, it's not like Wilmington struggles in that department as they've been averaging 33.8 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.

A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Liaromatis, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 boards.
