Baseball Recap: Temescal Canyon Takes a Loss

Temescal Canyon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 7-2 to Tahquitz. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Tahquitz this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-3 on Tuesday.

Temescal Canyon saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaxx Smith, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Andrew Becerra also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Temescal Canyon's loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Tahquitz, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-3-1.

Looking ahead, Temescal Canyon will square off against West Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Titans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season. As for Tahquitz, they are taking a road trip to take on West Covina at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
