Basketball Recap: Montgomery Central Timberwolves vs. North Davidson Black Knights
Montgomery Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 29th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the North Davidson Black Knights, falling 80-50. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Timberwolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 79-41 on January 7th.
Despite the loss, Montgomery Central still got an impressive performance from Boston Britt, who posted 12 points and five assists. Britt is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Kameron Robinson, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Ryan Forrest went supernova for North Davidson, going 7 of 14 en route to 18 points in addition to five assists and four steals. The dominant performance gave Forrest a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Lincoln Davis, who went 7 for 9 on his way to 14 points.
Montgomery Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-16. As for North Davidson, the win got them back to even at 9-9.
Montgomery Central and North Davidson could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings.
