After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hinsdale Central, Glenbard West was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over the Lyons Lions. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-6 last Monday.

Olivia Salerno tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up four earned runs off three hits.

On the hitting side, Ainslie Bobroff was a standout: she fired off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 2-for-3. That's the most home runs she has posted since back in April. Shelby Bobroff also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.

Glenbard West always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lyons only posted an OBP of .320.

Coincidentally, Glenbard West and Lyons will both be playing Oak Park-River Forest the next time they take the field. The Lions will host the Huskies at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Hilltoppers will head out to face them at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday.
