Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Salt Lake Academy

Salt Lake Academy had won two straight games and Elijah Johnson did his part to make it three on Wednesday. The Salt Lake Academy Griffins secured a 71-66 W over Non Varsity Opponent thanks in part to Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 35 points and ten rebounds. Those 35 points gave him a new career-high.

Aaron Zamora was another key player, going 6 of 12 on his way to 17 points. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Salt Lake Academy's win bumped their record up to 6-4.

Salt Lake Academy will take on American Prep WV at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. American Prep WV knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Salt Lake Academy likes a good challenge. Non Varsity Opponent has already played their next match, a 55-30 victory against Mary M. Knight on the 15th.
