Basketball Recap: Bishop Guertin Takes a Loss

Bishop Guertin lost against Exeter back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bishop Guertin Cardinals fell just short of the Exeter Blue Hawks by a score of 78-76. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (62), the Cardinals still had to take the loss.

Bishop Guertin's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Exeter, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bishop Guertin will venture away from home to face off against Salem at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop Guertin knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Salem likes a good challenge. As for Exeter, they are taking a road trip to challenge Spaulding at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Exeter's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six contests.
