Willowbrook has gone a perfect 10-0 against Leyden recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Warriors will head out to face off against the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Willowbrook is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Oak Park-River Forest just ended the team's ten-game winning streak on Saturday. They lost 11-5 to the Huskies. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Warriors have suffered since April 23rd.

Jake Bonino made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Marrese, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, Leyden unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of Glenbard West by a score of 6-5.

Sammy Calderon was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one triple. Another player making a difference was Angel Gutierrez, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Willowbrook's loss dropped their record down to 22-7. As for Leyden, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-13.

Willowbrook skirted past Leyden 8-7 when the teams last played back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
