Baseball Recap: Stranahan Takes a Loss

Stranahan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against the Fort Lauderdale Flying L, falling 21-2. The Mighty Dragons were not able to make up for their defeat to the Flying L's from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Derek Bernard made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played.

Stranahan's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Fort Lauderdale, they moved to 6-12-1 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stranahan will take on Boyd Anderson at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mighty Dragons will need to watch out since the Cobras have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups. As for Fort Lauderdale, they will face off against Cooper City at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
