Volleyball Recap: Corydon Central Takes a Loss

Corydon Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Evansville Central Bears. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Bears when the teams met back in August of 2017, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Corydon Central wouldn't go down easily and took Evansville Central into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-14, 25-18, 23-25, 15-13.

Corydon Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Evansville Central, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Coming up, Corydon Central will host Lanesville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Evansville Central, they have already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against New Albany on the 30th.
