Soccer Game Preview: Melbourne Central Catholic vs. Space Coast

If Melbourne Central Catholic beats Space Coast with three goals on Thursday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. Melbourne Central Catholic came out on top against John Carroll Catholic by a score of 3-1 on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hustlers.

Meanwhile, Space Coast's and Cocoa's game on Wednesday was close at halftime, but Space Coast turned on the heat in the second half with five goals. Space Coast never let Cocoa onto the board and left with a 6-0 win. The high-scoring effort was just what the Vipers needed considering they were shutout in their previous contest.

Their offense was hitting Cocoa from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Tony Allotta led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Melbourne Central Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 9-4-1. As for Space Coast, their win bumped their record up to 6-7-1.

Melbourne Central Catholic came out on top in a nail-biter against Space Coast in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Melbourne Central Catholic since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
