Volleyball Recap: Shadow Ridge Gets the Win

Shadow Ridge won the last time they faced Apollo and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Stallions came out on top against the Hawks by a score of 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Stallions.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 23-25, 25-23, 25-23.

When it comes to explaining why Apollo lost, don't look at Jesus Jacinto. Despite the final result, he had 40 digs and two assists. Jacinto has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more digs the last 11 times he's played.

Shadow Ridge's win bumped their record up to 9-23. As for Apollo, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-14.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shadow Ridge will face off against Highland at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Hawks will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Stallions surely won't give up without a fight. As for Apollo, they will square off against Glendale at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Hawks are facing the Cardinals at the right time seeing as the Cardinals are stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
