Basketball Game Preview: North Springs Spartans vs. Lithonia Bulldogs

The North Springs Spartans will head out to face off against the Lithonia Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. North Springs has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last five games.

North Springs is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Druid Hills 66-31. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Spartans have posted since January 19th.

Meanwhile, Lithonia suffered their biggest defeat since February 14th on Tuesday. They lost 78-55 to St. Pius X Catholic. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Golden Lions: they've now lost seven in a row.

North Springs' victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-10. As for Lithonia, they now have a losing record at 4-5.

North Springs and Lithonia were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in December of 2017, but North Springs came up empty-handed after a 59-58 defeat. Can North Springs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
