Soccer Game Preview: Gainesville vs. Osbourn Park

The Gainesville Cardinals will head out to face off against the Osbourn Park Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Gainesville is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over Unity Reed on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Meanwhile, Osbourn Park kept a clean sheet against Osbourn on Tuesday. They won by a goal and slipped past the Eagles 1-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for Osbourn Park.

Gainesville has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those four contests. As for Osbourn Park, their record is now 5-6-1.

Gainesville might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Osbourn Park when the teams last played back in April. Can the Cardinals avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
