Volleyball Recap: Marlee Mueller Key Part of Team Effort in Jaguars Win

It was a proper cat-fight when DeSoto Central challenged Bay on Friday. The Jaguars came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Jaguars.

DeSoto Central never let Bay on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-22.

DeSoto Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Marlee Mueller, who had seven digs and three aces. That's the most aces Mueller has posted since back in September of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Lydia Harrison, who had seven assists and three aces.

DeSoto Central's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Bay, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coincidentally, DeSoto Central and Bay will both be playing Lanier the next time they take the court. The Jaguars will head out to face the Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Tigers will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
