Football Recap: St. Patrick-St. Vincent Takes a Loss

St. Patrick-St. Vincent played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the San Rafael Bulldogs and fell 53-20. The Bruins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, St. Patrick-St. Vincent still got an impressive performance from Dylan Santos, who rushed for 102 yards and one TD on only 12 carries, and also picked up 31 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Santos got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 71 yards.

Lachlan Royston went supernova For San Rafael., throwing for 345 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 13.8 yards per attempt, and also punching in one TD on the ground. Rio Johnson was another key player, rushing for 139 yards and one score.

St. Patrick-St. Vincent's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for San Rafael, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

St. Patrick-St. Vincent has already played their next match, a 41-26 win against Terra Linda on the 12th. As for San Rafael, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 22-14 victory against Tamalpais on the 12th.
