Football Game Preview: Arbor View Aggies vs. Mojave Rattlers

Arbor View is on a five-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Mojave is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Arbor View Aggies will host the Mojave Rattlers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Arbor View is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Canyon Springs, who was ranked 19th at the time (Arbor View was ranked 14th). Arbor View simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Canyon Springs 40-6. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Aggies considering their seven-point performance the game before.

Arbor View found their leader in freshman Priscilla Garcia, who threw for 208 yards and two touchdowns while completing 84.2% of her passes, and also rushed for 34 yards and one touchdown. That's the most rushing yards Garcia has posted since back in December of 2024.

Arbor View was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 217 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Mojave never let their opponents score on Thursday. They blew past Amplus Academy 46-0. The result was nothing new for the Rattlers, who have now won seven matchups by 23 points or more so far this season.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Kaylinn Bentley and Derriah Wren. Bentley picked up seven receiving yards and one touchdown while Wren rushed for 56 yards and one touchdown on only six carries. Bentley didn't just play on offense: she also made three total tackles and defended one pass.

Mojave's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Arbor View, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.

Everything came up roses for Arbor View against Mojave when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 41-13 win. Does Arbor View have another victory up their sleeve, or will Mojave turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
