The matchup between Franklin and Lexington on Tuesday hardly resembled the 3-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Lions came up short against the Eagles, falling 14-5. The Lions' loss signaled the end of their 14-game winning streak.

Franklin's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 20-3-2. As for Lexington, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

While Franklin had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
