Football Recap: Catalina Foothills Starts Season with Win at Home

Catalina Foothills took care of business in their home opener on Thursday. They secured a 21-17 W over the Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks.

Among those leading the charge was Isaac Kirkendall, who rushed for 69 yards on only five carries, and also threw for 58 yards and a pair of TDs.

Despite the loss, Ironwood Ridge still got an impressive performance from Jaiden Martinez, who rushed for 101 yards and two scores on only 14 carries, and also threw for 119 yards on ten of 17 attempts.

Coming up, Catalina Foothills will be playing at home against North Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on September 5. As for Ironwood Ridge, they will head out on the road to face off against Campo Verde at 7:00 p.m. on September 5.
