Basketball Game Preview: Glenn Bobcats vs. East Forsyth Eagles

Glenn is 2-8 against East Forsyth since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. Both will face off at 6:00 p.m. without much rest having both just played. Glenn has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Glenn is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Mount Tabor on Wednesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Glenn was beaten by Mount Tabor 66-18. The Bobcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-9.

Meanwhile, East Forsyth had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 65-45 margin over the Demons. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 20 points or more this season.

Glenn better focus on containing Alyssa Jessup and Rajanae Bethea as the pair were huge in East Forsyth's win. Jessup went 7 of 13 on her way to 17 points and three steals, while Bethea went 8 of 16 on her way to 18 points along with six assists and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Autumn Ware, who posted six points and seven rebounds.

East Forsyth has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.6 points per game. As for Glenn, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.

Glenn skirted past East Forsyth 42-39 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Will Glenn repeat their success, or does East Forsyth have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
