While James Buchanan's victory against Big Spring wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Rockets narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Bulldogs 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Rockets in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won eight in a row.

James Buchanan's win bumped their record up to 9-11-1. As for Big Spring, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-5.
