Soccer Recap: Wayne Takes a Loss

Despite a strong season so far, Wayne has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Our Lady of Mercy Monarchs. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Wayne came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked 84th, while Our Lady of Mercy are ranked 224th).

Wayne's defeat dropped their record down to 12-3-1. As for Our Lady of Mercy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-10.

As of now, neither Wayne nor the Monarchs have any future games scheduled.
