Baseball Recap: East Lee County Comes Up Short

After flying high against Lehigh on Thursday, East Lee County came back down to earth. The Jaguars fell just short of the South Fort Myers Wolfpack by a score of 4-3 on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Jaguars of the 19-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

East Lee County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jax Filler, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Federico Rodriguez also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

East Lee County's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for South Fort Myers, their record is now 8-13.

Coming up, East Lee County will host Lehigh at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Fort Myers, they are taking a road trip to face off against Imagine School at North Port at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
