Basketball Recap: Tri-Valley Takes a Loss

After flying high against Canton last Tuesday, Tri-Valley came back down to earth. The Tri-Valley Mustangs took a hard 55-36 fall against the Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies on Thursday. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Huskies apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Tri-Valley has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Elk Point-Jefferson, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-8.

Tri-Valley will face off against Sisseton at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Elk Point-Jefferson, they and Milbank will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Elk Point-Jefferson is facing Milbank at the right time seeing as Milbank is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
