Basketball Game Preview: Central Chargers vs. Bleckley County Royals

The Central Chargers will take on the Bleckley County Royals at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Central will be strutting in after a win while Bleckley County will be coming in after a loss.

Central is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They couldn't have asked for a better start to 2025 than the 69-20 blowout they got against Jefferson County. Given the Chargers' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 98th, while the Warriors are ranked 420th), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Bleckley County's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 49-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Dodge County. The matchup marked the Royals' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Central is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.1 points per game. As for Bleckley County, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-3.
