Basketball Recap: Ty Goodwin's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Oak Hill over Pitkin

Oak Hill lost against Pitkin last Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Rams fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 60-57.

Oak Hill's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ty Goodwin, who went 8-for-20 on his way to 20 points. Another player making a difference was Spencer Daniels, who shot 46% from the field to rack up 16 points and eight rebounds.

Oak Hill's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Pitkin, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Coming up, Oak Hill will be taking part in a tournament against Fairview at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Pitkin, they will square off against Plainview at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers will be up against the Hornets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 55.25 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
