Baseball Recap: Sequoia Gets the Win

While Sequoia's victory against Archbishop Riordan wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Ravens had just enough and edged out the Crusaders 4-2. The Ravens have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Crusaders on Saturday, too.

Sequoia saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Morgan Winfield, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Vince Olinger Giani also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Sequoia now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Archbishop Riordan, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-9-1.

Sequoia has already played their next game, a 14-1 win against Half Moon Bay on the 2nd. As for Archbishop Riordan, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 6-3 victory against Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory on the 1st.
