Basketball Recap: Gray's Creek Starts Season with Loss at Home + How To Watch

Gray's Creek unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 51-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pine Forest Trojans on Tuesday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

Loss or not, Gray's Creek got some senior leadership from Ezekiel Reed and Bahkiya Munn. Reed dropped a double-double with 13 points and 12 boards, while Munn posted seven points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Kunert, who scored eight points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pine Forest to victory, but perhaps none more so than Antonio Barnett, who had 12 points. Jaidon Moore was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Gray's Creek wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 70-45 defeat against West Johnston on the 21st. As for Pine Forest, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-56 loss against Westover on the 21st.
