It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Horizon had no problem doing just that on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Riverview Sharks a 5-0 shutout. Winning may never get old, but the Hawks sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Horizon's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Sebastian Davila, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. That's the most stolen bases Davila has posted since back in February. Another was Reid Patton, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Horizon's victory bumped their record up to 14-11. As for Riverview, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-15.

Coming up, Horizon will take on Durant at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Hawks' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Riverview does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
